IMPORTANT INFO RE TRANSDERMAL PATCHES : Q & A
1] The best way to store Patches is in a new, good quality Cooler Bag. This keeps your valuable products cool naturally, away from sunlight or light in general, away from strong odours naturally and away from computers and microwaves. Of course do not add ice and do not plug in – Homeopathic Patches must not be refrigerated as it will interfere with potency and stickiness.
2] To use: Peel the patch off the backing paper; press firmly onto dry, oil free skin – firmly. Place on the belly or abdomen away from hair, clothing straps etc. When you replace the patch for a new one it is a good idea to place on the opposite side of the body to the last patch, but not essential.
2a] Our patches are made from hypoallergenic adhesive, as in no latex. So the sticking material is not only good for any skin type but is not stuck on like a Band-Aid so ripping it off cause’s no irritation to the skin.
As the product is gentle there may be a time where the odd one will not stay stuck (very rare). But this is another reason why there are 12 in a monthly pack – so the client won’t run out.
3] Treat the patch gently. Yes you can shower and swim with it on but pat dry, gently. Remember it’s not a sticking plaster. If a client is in chlorinated water every day they would need to have a water proof plaster/dressing over it to keep it on and protect from chemicals (Tegaderm Tape). They must be treated gently – logical.
4] The patch ingredients generally last 3-4 days (at peak strength) after peeling off the backing paper and sticking to the skin. By day 4 the dose will be getting low. The HCG patch is changed twice a week, it would be ok to take the patch off on 3rd night and not wear overnight (to give the skin a break if required, this is not essential) and just put a new one on the next morning, the HCG would still be in the blood stream for twelve hours. Only suggested to clients if they have a super-sensitive skin issue.
5] The patches MUST be stored correctly or they will lose their potency and stickiness.
6] Redness on the skin beside the patch. This isn’t a side effect this happens if the person is using an nutrient patch and their body does not need that nutrient, so they over-dose, and the skin tells them that by showing redness. This is why it’s important for clients to have a blood test before they use the Iron, B’s or Fluid Retention patches. It’s up to the client to look after their own health we just supply great products. But if you take nutrients in that you don’t need your body will try to throw the excess out – so as you can see this is NOT a side effect of the product.
7] Redness at the side of one HCG patch, or very mild itchiness or hive-like spots anywhere on the body – if wearing two at a time:
This may happen if a client is going for several months on HCG and wearing two patches, obviously too much HCG so they need to only wear one patch. Also have a day or two without any patches as the body is obviously overloaded with HCG and trying to offload it. The product will still be in the blood stream. Once the very mild symptoms rapidly go away they can place a new (one only) patch on. Also if several months on HCG best to place the patch on a different part of the body than the belly/abdomen after a month or so. The upper arm would be okay at this stage – again not essential.
7a] Replacement Fat Loading stage and wearing two patches instead: generally everyone is okay with this, but the odd client will not be able to absorb well for whatever reason so a red, itchy, very small rash may appear beside one patch. Obviously they only need one patch even at the beginning – so only wear one for the duration of their diet journey if you develop a rash – we see this in maybe one out of 30-40 clients.
7b] Maintenance patches long term: The mains. patch is worn Mon-Fri only and no patch over the weekend. If the above problems happen after a few months then they also need a break from the nutrients as the body is overloaded. It just takes a few days break then the mains. Patch can be applied again – apply to a new part of the body at this stage if desired.
8] The Wild African Mango patch is worn exactly the same as the HCG patch – follow the same diet instructions page.
9] Placement of patches. We suggest clients place the patch on the belly. It is good to be in a fatty place so the ingredients rapidly flow into the blood stream. But if you are long term on any of the patches and don’t want to continue with that area, then patches really can be placed anywhere from then on – the ingredients will have been established within the blood flow/cells.
10] With the stop smoking patch this is not a nicotine patch. Homeopathy works slowly from the inside out. The same with the fluid retention, Iron, Minerals etc. it takes several months to really see a result on the outside. But it’s worth it, is totally natural and in the end the results will be great. Read the instructions on the website, slow but sure – it heals not just manages like drugs do, and the natural ingredients will feed and nourish the body, organs, and nerves.
Prepare Your Skin – To ensure comfort, decide where to apply the patch depending on your activities for the days ahead.
Take care with clothing, pantyhose and pants – obviously as the patch is gentle and not stuck on like band aid if you are rough with clothing rubbing against it you will pull it off. the wrists, arms, abdomen, lower back, inner thigh, inner knee and inner elbow, shoulder, flanks, under your bra. Again the best place to wear is lower belly or under bra line.
The skin must be totally dry, not still damp or wet from the shower, no moisturizer, suntan cream, powder, moisturizing oil – dry skin only, otherwise the patch will not stick or may stick for a short time then fall off.
The patches are gentle. The skin must be totally dry, not still damp or wet from the shower, no moisturizer, suntan cream, powder, moisturizing oil, clean dry skin only, otherwise the patch will not stick or may stick for a short time then fall off.
Apply the Patch – Remove the Patch from the packaging. Peel off the protective strip and immediately apply it to your skin. Press the Waterproof patch firmly to secure it in place. Do not remove for 4 days.
You may bath/shower with the patches on as normal tap water does not interfere with the active ingredients. Be careful not to rub aggressively over the Patch with soap as it may loosen the patch. Gently dry the wet Patch with an absorbent towel, by pressing down on the patch. The patch may begin to curl up at the edges after some time – this does not affect product absorption – if it bothers you, secure patch in place with micropore/opticlear tape. When it’s time to replace patch avoid the problem areas. Hormone free patches can be used on the breast area away from the nipple, undergarments will help keep patch securely in place with minimal fuss.
Technique – Firmly stick in place 1-2 Patches on clean skin and leave for 4 days. Apply to clean, dry and hair free skin. From the second application onwards, 1 patch worn for 96hours will suffice
- Peel a patch off the waxed paper with the tip of your fingernail. Take care not to lift off patch still attached to the backing sheet as it will not stick.
- You can notice the sticky side as you lift off patch – Do Not Touch the bottom sticky side of patch to prevent damaging the patch potency.
- Affix immediately to the lower or upper abdomen, press firmly – apply away from clothing and the waist-band area – the lower belly or under the bra line is best.
- If you stick a patch on and take it off because you want to stick it somewhere else this will not work – the patch only sticks ONCE.
- When applying the patch, run your finger around the edge of the patch to ensure it adheres properly.
- The release liner is not damaged by daily activities such as showers, swimming, gym etc.
SECURE WITH MICROPORE/OPTICLEAR TAPE IF REQUIRED
Remove and replace. Apply to a new part of your skin/body to allow skin to rest between patch applications.
